40th ANNIVERSARY FILM
As time goes by, the Chicago Latino Film Festival only gets better, and its vitality is a story in itself. This short film celebrates the festival’s 40th anniversary and four decades of Latino stories, filmmakers, and community.
For this milestone, I had the opportunity to step into the roles of Executive Producer and Creative Director, leading the creation of a film that celebrated the festival’s history, cultural impact, and deep connection to Chicago’s Latino community.
It was one of those projects that reminded me why I love what I do. With virtually no budget, the challenge was to think creatively, bring people together, and make every resource count. The support from the community was incredible. Artists, filmmakers, collaborators, and friends came together to help us bring the idea to life, proving that some of the most meaningful work can come from collective passion rather than big production budgets.
What started as an ambitious anniversary project became the official video of the 40th Chicago Latino Film Festival, making the experience even more meaningful and an important milestone in my creative career.
