NO LES DES LA ESPALDA
“Don’t Turn Your Back”

Sometimes, the way we see people can become another form of exclusion.

No Les Des la Espalda was a social experiment created for Fundación Techo, a Venezuelan nonprofit dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society with dignity.

For the campaign, a professional violinist disguised as a homeless man entered a theater while hidden cameras captured the reactions around him. People avoided him, stared, and judged him based solely on his appearance. Once inside, he took the stage and revealed his extraordinary talent through a powerful violin performance, challenging the audience’s first impressions. The film ended with a simple message: Don’t discard them. They also deserve the opportunity to reintegrate into society and live with dignity.

The project holds a special place in my career. Beyond using creativity to challenge prejudice and spark conversation around homelessness, the campaign received recognition at the ANDA Awards and Festival del Caribe, helping open the door to new opportunities and marking an important step in my international creative career.
